Mudwound

Mudwound was developed during my time as artist-in-residence at Homeport Art House, located on Coastal Maine. Mud as malleable, rich relic of knowledge, home, withering and withstanding. Wound as in pooling tides, weathered ground, never closing, never healing body of sea and land. A week of trudging to Combs Island, "limbcove", and various other coastal sites led to the creation of this work which processes the quiet cries of sea mouths, water creatures, barnacles, and all which burrow beneath earth's clay.
